Everyone has a story. Here's mine.
It's no accident that I'm a writer by profession. My education and experience prepared me perfectly for this role.
I earned my BA in English from Mount Holyoke College, one of the Seven Sisters. Then, for many years, I worked as a sales assistant, progressively becoming more and more involved in the writing and editing of sales proposals and correspondence (Field Marketing, Inc., Chicago; Update Staffing and FPC Personnel Consultants, NYC).
In 2004, I was hired by Jack Morton Worldwide, an experiential marketing agency. And with the encouragement of extraordinary mentors, I rose to the position of Associate Creative Director, Brand Marketing and worked full-time as a writer for the first time.
Since leaving Jack Morton, I've developed a thriving freelance practice. And today, I'm proud to work on a fascinating variety of corporate and creative projects, from supporting rebrands (Six Red Marbles) to writing for museum exhibitions (Morven Museum & Gardens) to ghostwriting books and other content (shhh, what kind of ghost would I be?) to co-authoring a scientific research paper for a peer-reviewed journal.
My work is always interesting, pushing me to immerse in new topics and master new skills. That's why I love what I do.
